WELLFRONT / CLINIC WEBSITE GUIDES

Multi-location clinic websites: build a useful branch page.

By Wellfront · Clinic website planning · 18 October 2026

A branch page should help someone reach the right clinic. Changing only the city name is not enough. Start with the information that differs between real locations and test the route from page to reception.

Approve a branch record first.

Collect the public name, street address, map destination, contact route, opening arrangements, services and relevant team details for each real branch. Add useful arrival notes only when verified, such as the patient entrance, floor or parking arrangements.

Do not treat an old directory listing as a current source. When records disagree, ask the branch manager to approve the correct version. Keep the approval date internally so a later editor knows what was checked and who can answer questions.

Distinguish location from service area.

A physical clinic page describes a place patients can attend. A service-area statement describes where the business serves people. A website should not imply the clinic has premises in every neighbourhood it mentions.

Google Business Profile guidance requires accurate real-world representation and has eligibility rules for different locations and practitioners. A website page does not make a location eligible for a separate profile. Check the current rules before creating or duplicating profiles.

Keep contact routes branch-aware.

If each branch has reception, its call and request links should reach that team. If central booking handles everything, explain this and preserve the selected branch where the system supports it. A form that loses the branch choice creates work for the patient and receptionist.

Inspect telephone, map and messaging destinations as well as visible labels. Do not call a number already suspected to be wrong. Use the clinic-approved testing process. For form receipt, follow our appointment-request acceptance test.

Write the differences that help a visitor.

Explain services actually offered here, relevant clinicians, arrival details and how to contact the branch. Shared practice information can stay on a central page. There is no need to rewrite the same introduction with a different city in each version.

Avoid a separate page for every suburb when there is no real location or useful new information. Google's doorway-abuse policy includes similar regional pages funneling visitors to one destination. Use a browseable locations section reflecting how the clinic operates.

Make the index useful on a phone.

Show enough to choose a branch without opening every page: area, address and meaningful verified service differences. Keep branch names consistent across cards, navigation and forms. Stacked cards can be easier to read than a wide comparison table on mobile.

A map can supplement the list, but should not be the only way to find an address or contact route. Check the page remains useful if the embed fails. Read the longest address on a small screen and check buttons do not hide details.

Give changes one owner.

A move, closure or telephone change should trigger checks of the website and relevant business listings. Keep an update register naming the change, places requiring review and verifier. Do not assume one system automatically updates the others.

Our website and Business Profile guide covers local-search housekeeping. Accuracy and usability do not establish Maps position or guarantee enquiries. A branch page is ready when it helps a real visitor, not when it has a high keyword score.

Branch-page acceptance checklist

  1. Identity matches the clinic-approved branch record.
  2. Address, map pin and verified arrival notes are readable on mobile.
  3. Only services available here are described as available here.
  4. Contact reaches the intended team and explains central booking.
  5. Branch is reachable from the locations index and relevant service pages.
  6. An owner handles moves, closures, hours and staff changes.
